How to apply your DIVAZ nails
You can put them on at home in about 10 minutes. Prepping your natural nails matters most for how long the manicure lasts, so it is worth taking your time.

Glue or adhesive tabs?
The glue in the set
It lasts up to 3 weeks and is the right pick when you want to wear the set every day.
The adhesive tabs
They usually last a day or two and come off easily without warm water. They are handy for an event or when you want to try out a design.

Step 1
Prep your nails
Take off any old polish, then wash your hands with soap and water and dry them really well. Gently push back the cuticles with the stick and buff the nail lightly with the file, just enough to take the shine off. Finish by wiping each nail with the alcohol pad.
Save hand cream and cuticle oil for after you apply the nails, because the glue will not stick to them.

Pick your sizes
Before you open the glue, match one nail to each finger and lay them out in order on the table. The press-on should cover your natural nail from edge to edge and stop just short of the cuticle.
If you are torn between two sizes, go for the smaller one. A nail that is too wide touches the skin and lifts sooner at the edges.

Apply the glue
Spread a thin layer of glue on your natural nail and another on the inside of the press-on. A thin layer is enough, because extra glue squeezes out at the edges and makes bubbles.
Using tabs: stick a tab as close to the size of your nail as you can find, press it down so no air is left underneath and only then peel off the protective film.

Step 4
Press it on
Place the nail at the cuticle at a slight angle and lower it towards the tip, so no air gets trapped underneath. Press firmly for 10 to 15 seconds on the middle and on both sides. With adhesive tabs, hold for 20 to 30 seconds.
Wipe off any glue that gets on your skin straight away. If you want to shorten or shape the tip, file it once the glue has set.
Making them last
- For the first hour after applying, keep away from hot water and strong detergents so the glue can set properly.
- Wear gloves when you do the dishes or the cleaning.
- Try not to use your nails as tools, for example to open boxes or peel off labels.
- Dry your hands well after washing them. Cuticle oil is fine on the skin, as long as you keep it away from the edge of the press-on.
How to remove them
- Soak your hands in warm, slightly soapy water for about 10 minutes.
- Gently lift the edge with the cuticle stick and ease the nail off slowly from side to side. If you feel resistance, give it a few more minutes in the water.
- Buff away any leftover glue from your natural nail with the file. Nails applied with tabs usually come off without water.
How to reuse them
Clean the leftover glue from the inside of each nail and put them back in the box, sorted by size. Next time you follow the same steps, starting with the prep.
Each adhesive tab can only be used once.
Common problems
A nail lifted or came off in the first few days
Usually there was oil left on the natural nail, too much or too little glue, or the press-on was too wide. Take the nail off, clean the old glue from both surfaces, wipe with alcohol and apply it again with a thin layer.
I can see air or a white patch under the nail
The nail was probably set down all at once. If the glue has not set yet, lift it off straight away and put it back on, from the cuticle towards the tip.
The nail touches the skin or presses on it
The size is too big. File the side edges lightly or pick a smaller size.
I got glue on my skin
Wipe it off while it is still wet. If it has dried, wash your hands with warm water and soap and let it come off on its own without pulling at it.
Redness or itching around the nail
Take the nails off and let your skin settle before you apply a new set. If the reaction does not go away, ask a dermatologist for advice.
